Have I found the best foundation ever?

I think I have. I can’t remember now which beauty blogger I saw raving about this foundation but when I read the review I knew I had to try it out… and I’m so pleased I did. In the past I’ve often gone for foundations with less coverage as my pale complexion means I’m wary of looking orange but I thought it was time to try something a bit more robust and I have been using this ever since.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation has fast become my favourite foundation with its smooth consistency and blendable texture making it perfect for all day wear. It’s great for creating an even and flawless complexion and I find it stays put from the morning until evening with little-to-no need for touch-ups. Available in an impressive 40 shades the foundation delivers a high coverage without the caked on feeling, with shade 010 Beige Porcelaine working best for me. I also find I use a lot less of it that I would with a cheaper foundation which does help make the £31.50 price tag easier to handle.

What I also really loved about my experience buying this from Lancôme was that when initially unsure which shade would be the better fit, they let me take home a couple of samples to try with no pressure then and there to buy anything. I really loved this and it’s this kind of thing that makes me want to buy from a brand and keep going back again and again. It’s so easy to overlook the little touches but in beauty they can mean everything.

Let me know what your favourite foundation is in the comments!
